Southside Devotional

Everyone has a favorite verse.  As Christians we can encourage each other by sharing these verses and how they have touched our lives.  We are taking entries to make a devotional available to our church members.  If you have a favorite verse or truth you would like to share please take the time to put it down on paper.

You can email it to the church office (office@gaffneysouthside.com), mail it (SBC, 204 W. O’Neal Street, Gaffney, SC 29340) or give it to Will Hawkins or Chip Scoggins.

Please include the following information with your devotional:

  1. Your name (if you would rather not have your name published, please note for “anonymous” to be used instead”.
  2. Verse(s)
  3. What this verse means to you

You may include optional information such as

  1. Background verse(s)
  2. Questions about this verse

A Powerful Way To Minister To Families
In A Time Of A Loss – Providing A Meal!
If you would like to assist in preparing a dish for one of our church families
in their time of loss, please contact Jodie Wood or Debbie Goode (or email
the church office). You may be able to provide the dish any day of the week
or just on weekends.

This is open to men and women. If you have been a recipient of such a blessing
you know how precious each and every person is that has taken the time to prepare
a dish. Maybe you truly don’t have the time or you have received the “Worst Cook
of the Universe” Award, but you still want to help. You can make a financial
contribution to the “Bereavement Meals”. Thanks for caring!

Wednesday Night Suppers
Where All The Money Will Go Toward
The Debt Retirement!

How can this happen? A Sunday School class, a mission group,
group of friends, etc. not only volunteer to fix and serve the meal,
but also donate all the food. Then all the money from the meal will
go to debt retirement.

If you would be interested in preparing or providing a Wednesday night
supper please contact the church office or see the pastor as soon as possible.

Reserving the FamilyLifeCenter
and Church Bus

There is a calendar near the church office to be used to check the availability
of the Family Life Center and Church Bus. Even if you write something on that
calendar, we ask that you still contact the church office as soon as possible
to confirm your request. You can contact the church office by phone (864-489-6504)
or email (office@gaffneysouthside.com).

If you reserve the FLC or the Church Bus, it is your responsibility to pick up the
keys from the church secretary during regular church office hours or from one
of the staff members during regular scheduled church program times.
